A national IT cluster is being created in Transcarpathia, freeing all IT specialists from military service to protect the Ukrainian economy. This was announced by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Viktor Nikita.
“Transcarpathia is becoming a national hub for all Ukrainian businesses that protect the Ukrainian economy. Businesses that will be relocated and operate in Transcarpathia will be protected,” the message says.
“The business that will be moved and work in Transcarpathia will be protected. In particular, we are creating a national IT cluster in the region and exempting all IT specialists from military service to protect the Ukrainian economy,” Viktor Nikita said.
What do IT companies and professionals need to know to relocate their business?
“Yes, the IT business is registered as an enterprise intending to move its activities and facilities to the Transcarpathian region in the Ministry of Economy. Mandatory registration of a business entity in the region as a reintegrated enterprise from another region. After that, the OVA, together with the Ministry of Economy, ensures the formation of proposals for booking IT specialists from conscription for military service during mobilization and martial law,” said the chairman of the OVA.

After that, the formation of proposals for booking IT specialists from conscription for military service during mobilization and martial law is provided.
Since the beginning of the war, about 35,000 IT specialists have already moved to Transcarpathia and are operating in the region. As a reminder, the Terms of Action for IT companies during the period of martial law have been simplified. Companies will not lose their resident status Action, even if they do not meet the criteria: number of employees, average salary, etc. This applies to both current residents and companies seeking to join the Action.
